Vintage Stuff: Card Collecting

I picked up 10 packs of baseball, football and basketball trading cards from Economy Candy in the Lower East Side. As a child, I collected somewhere north of 10k cards. It was one of my greatest joys and probably the only real hobby I've ever had.

The Topps baseball cards from 1989 were the best, because they came with an unwrapped stick of bubble gum in each packet. Nothing like biting into a piece of gum that's over 20 years old! (j/k)

Any other current or former collectors out there?

Sidenote:

Topps is still in business. Fleer filed for bankruptcy and liquidated its assets.
