30 is The New 20
For a few weeks I openly stated that LeBron James was the best player in the NBA. But after Kobe Bryant dropped 61 on the Knicks tonight, he reminded wavering fans such as myself that he is the best player in the NBA and in the world.
Sure, the Lakers' just see their hopes of winning a title this year get a bit dimmer given that Andrew Bynum is down for 8-12 weeks. And if his recovery is anything like it was last year, he's down for the rest of the season. But through the adversity, Kobe was able to dig within himself to kick some Knick ass. Sorry Spike.
For those of you that forgot how capable this man is of scorching hapless Eastern Conference teams, take a look back at this record setting performance. I'll post the compressed version of his 61 when my video editing team over at YouTube finishes up.
