Where were you at a few weeks ago?

As a 2nd grader, my teacher gave me a book and told me to read it. I went home and read an entry-level piece about the life of Colin Powell. He is a man that has served this country proudly and a man that made a tremendous professional sacrifice/mistake by presenting a bogus case to the UN.

Nevertheless, Colin Powell is an American hero.

The staunch Republican has yet to endorse a candidate. But word out of CNN is that he believes an Obama victory would be "electrifying."

His lack of an endorsement says quite a bit to me. In fact, it screams Obama.

I only wish that Mr. Powell would have been able to cast away that silence a few weeks ago. A speech by him at the DNC would have been earth-shattering.
