Look, here's the thing:
Losing at sports doesn't mean much to Stanford students. We're so much better at doing things like writing books, reading books, highlighting books, building computers and becoming multi-millionaires.
What does Tennessee have going for itself on the other hand?
My grandparents hopped on the first thing smoking out of Memphis over half a century ago. That place is a mess. If I lived there I would do nothing but play basketball. Therefore, I would be a really good basketball player.
I could go on with this for at least 7 more paragraphs. But the moral of the story is this: even when we lose, we still win.
